Stronger Together

Our Central Team

Joanne Sanchez-Thompson, Executive Headteacher

It's been my pleasure to be Executive Headteacher and Chief Executive Officer of the Trust since September 2016. It's fantastic to be able to work with so many committed and talented staff across the four schools, so that our children can get the very best education and experiences.

I have a very wide range of experiences working in education over the past 30 years: I have worked in eight different schools in the UK and the US and taught every age group from Reception to sixth form. I have been headteacher of 2 schools and worked for the local authority as a school improvement partner, as well as being an independent education consultant and having the privilege of visiting schools on inspection. I have also been a school governor in 3 schools.

Kate Oxford, Chief Financial Officer

I became CFO in September 2015 shortly after the journey to become a Multi Academy Trust started. Prior to that I had been the Bursar for the Finedon schools. As CFO, my role is to ensure good use of our financial resources and that our administration really supports what we need to do in order to deliver good outcomes for our pupils.

Louise Peerless, IT & Projects Co-ordinator

I have been working for the Learning for Life Education Trust and its schools for 4 years now. First as a Teaching Assistant and then as an Administrator in the schools. I am now involved in IT and project work across all of the schools. Whether it’s new computers, data protection, a new MIS being implemented or a Trust wide athletics event, I can be called upon – it certainly keeps me on my toes!

Tracy Oakley - HR & Payroll Administrator

I joined the Trust in June 2017. I have a wealth of HR administration and management experience, having worked as a senior University administrator for over 20 years. My most recent role was Head of Administration in the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge, where I worked for just over 18 years. Prior to academia I worked in the Cabinet Office in central London.

Jenny Cooper, Trust Facilities Manager

After joining the Trust in 2018, I ensure that the estate of schools, buildings and grounds, meet the needs of all children, staff and visitors. This could be from a cleaning aspect to overseeing larger projects. I also oversee the security and health and safety aspects of school life making sure all elements are compliant. My role is very varied, which I love, no two days are ever the same.

Sarah Elmore, Personal Assistant to EHT & CFO

I joined the Trust in 2018 providing administrative support to the Executive Headteacher and Chief Financial Officer.  From organisation of meetings and handling correspondence, to managing governance structures and creating marketing communications, I enjoy the varied role.  It is great to be able to contribute to some of the exciting initiatives our schools are involved in.
